GAME UP NUTRITION is a CBD-infused, plant-based super nutrition company designed by founders who all believe that a safe and effective herbal alternative exists for most nutritional goals and even the treatment of most ailments. Doubling-down on their longtime lifestyle, Nick & Nate Diaz created GAME UP in order to, first and foremost, design and produce the plant-based supplements they use, but the way they want them produced. Under the brothers guidance, all GAME UP products are created using only the highest quality organic and all-natural ingredients, are vegan-friendly and are always produced sustainably in the USA.
The Diaz Brothers
Stockton, California natives Nick & Nate Diaz have been setting and redefining health and fitness trends for over a decade. World-renowned Gracie Jiu Jitsu black belts and infamous professional martial artists known for their exciting performances, plant-based diets and remarkable endurance, the brothers are also dedicated triathletes and lightning rod cannabis activists.
Nickolas ‘Nick’ Diaz
Nick Diaz is both the former Strikeforce Welterweight Champion & WEC Welterweight Champion. A compelling character and an intelligent fighter, Nick’s fights are some of the most memorable in MMA history. Throughout his career, Nick has publicly shown and backed his love of all things cannabis and redefined the image of being vegan after adopting a modified vegan diet at 18 years old – the only two exceptions being fish and eggs.
Nick last fought January 31st, 2015 at the MGM Arena in Las Vegas Nevada against Anderson Silva. After a 5-round crowd-pleaser Nick was fined $165,000 and suspended for five years by the Nevada State Athletic Commission for failing a drug test for marijuana. His opponent, Silva, also failed his drug test, but for steroids and was only suspended for a year. This controversial decision caused outrage and a fan-originated 100k+ petition to the White House backed by celebrities including Cher.
Nathan ‘Nate’ Diaz
Nate Diaz chose early to follow in his big brother’s footsteps and train jiu jitsu. He excelled quickly and always had the guidance and his brother, helping him excel even faster. He ultimately also took up boxing, a near-vegan diet and racing triathlons to stay in shape as well as professionally fighting with full commitment to the life.
Nate is the Ultimate Fighter Season 5 winner, he currently holds the second most amount UFC Fight Of The Night awards and he can boast being on one side of two of the biggest PPV fights in UFC history, both against Conor McGregor. Immediately following the second of those two fights, Nate used a CBD vape pen at the UFC 202 post-fight press conference which ultimately led to CBD being removed completely from the United States Anti-Doping Agency (USADA) banned substance list through the “Nate Diaz Rule”.
According to UFC Vice President of Athlete and Health Performance Jeff Novitzky: “At the time, the rule was the in-competition period where CBD was prohibited lasted until four hours after the conclusion of the fight. He was clearly within that time period,” Novitzky told Joe Rogan during a recent episode of the JRE MMA Show podcast. As a result of the focus on the rule and substance “the WADA prohibited list, which we follow, took it completely off starting 2018. Now, it’s been completely taken off the list, and it’s OK to use it anytime.”
We have the goal of reinventing how certain lifestyle choices are perceived. Choosing a plant-based diet almost defines you as a person these days… Unfortunately the marketing dollars are poured into steroid-bloated athletes who claim they received their gains from their sponsors’ product (a supplement company with great branding but cheap product with huge profit margins that has almost no natural ingredients and is filled who who knows what. It’s time to make eating healthy normal and relying on plants as a natural, logical and age-old solution to a host of problems.
